Scope Press Centre

Introduction

Appointed via the Project Manager, Wilson & Partners (W&P) were commissioned to provide consultancy on the relocation of Scope’s Press Centre during the project initiation stage. 

 

Appointment

As part of RIBA Stage 5 services, W&P undertook a review of contractors’ proposals for the Press Centre to ensure that the client brief was met. Activities included:

 

  • Validation of the M&E design

  • Identification of where the design deviated on client requirements & advising on design improvements

  • Inspecting installations against construction guidelines & quality standards

 

Services & Solutions

W&P attended early stage meetings and engaged with both the client and the contractor to facilitate development of the contractors’ design proposals. As well as assessing the technical interpretation the proposals against the client brief, W&P assumed a communication management role between landlord, client and contractors. This involved change-management of contractors’ proposals and assessment of submitted variations.

 

Ultimately the proposals were revised to the client’s satisfaction, generating additional office space for employees. The project was completed in line with the agreed programme inclusive of enhancements resulting in positive feedback from the client.
