Kings School approached Wilson & Partners to assist the school with improvements to the current boiler room plant at the Tradescant and Galpin school houses.
The old boiler rooms had reached the end of their effective maintainable life, and our brief was to build a boiler room package that could be used as a standard for all boiler room replacements in line with their updated structured improvement plan. Continuity and efficiency were key within this plan resulting in Kings generating an approved manufacturers list, and packaging future works were possible.

Wilson & Partners first carried out a detailed dimensional study of the boiler rooms, generating CAD plans and delivering a full tender package, while supporting Kings throughout the life of project. Below are some key points from the project:
Early feasibility, detailed survey and developed design for tender was key to ensuring project success
All milestones were delivered on time, and feedback was very positive
Challenges included plant equipment and spaces that were no longer serviceable, and restricted access and space for plant rooms
The success of this project was down to understanding the client’s requirements, carrying out due diligence on existing equipment, and ensuring good, clear communication throughout the project
